Webuild () is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
The ideal individual would have 6+ years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist overseeing geotechnical engineering projects such as slope stability, rockfall, landslide, dams, and associated retaining structures up to $10M in scope. Must have the abilities to foster customer relations, collaborate on proposals, review project cost estimates, perform technical engineering design / conditional reviews, manage budgets, schedule resources and perform onsite geotechnical observations of construction as needed.
The Geotechnical Engineer will be tasked with taking a project management role in directing project activities for a portfolio of ongoing projects spanning throughout northern California. Managing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals; assessing conditions, reviewing and performing geotechnical engineering design for complex civil infrastructure. This would include direction of all sampling and laboratory testing activities of soils and rock for projects.
Requires a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and/or Geological Sciences. A Master in Geological Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering is desired. Professional registrations as a Certified Engineering Geologist and/or Professional Engineer (PE), (GE) in California is required.
