mission.The AI Silicon Engineering (AISiE) SoC Design Verification
team is seeking a Senior Design Verification DevOps engineer.The
AISiE team is responsible for delivering cutting-edge, custom IP
and SoC designs that can perform complex and high-performance AI
operations in an extremely efficient manner. Your success in this
role will depend on you leveraging your deep understanding of
design verification with your DevOps skillset to help deliver the
next cutting-edge Microsoft AI accelerator!QualificationsRequired
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of related technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience or
internship experience
- OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience or
internship experience
- OR Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in developing tools and automation in
silicon engineering, software tools and infrastructure engineering
or a related field.
- 6+ years Python, Ruby, Shell or similar scripting languages
along with strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.
- 2+ years experience with Azure DevOps and Git.Other:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security
screening requirements are required for this role. These
requirements include but are not limited to the following
specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud
Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years
thereafter.
- This role will require access to information that is controlled
for export under export control regulations, potentially under the
U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export
Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or
other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the
successful candidate will be required to provide either proof of

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools.
- Experience in SOC development cycles and methodologies.
- Experience in ASIC workflow.Responsibilities
- DV Capabilities: As a Silicon Verification DevOps engineer, you
will play a pivotal role in shaping silicon design and verification
tools and processes. You will be involved in both pre-silicon
design verification and post-silicon bring up, ensuring that our
verification flow is robust, scalable, and efficient. You will be
working with vendors to solve unique problems faced with large
scale SoC designs such as coverage closure, simulation efficiency
and profiling. You will blaze the trail for new verification tool
implementation and deployment.
- Verification efficiency and automation: You will use your
design verification understanding to develop IP specific tools and
scripts that increase efficiency and automation in creating
testbench and stimulus. You will identify common functionality
across designs and establish common methodology to ensure
consistent and accurate design implementation.
- Collaboration: You will partner closely with Design, DFT and PD
to ensure smooth netlist release and bug tracking. You will
leverage various tools and processes to maintain accurate and
reliable data, and you will utilize your knowledge of databases to
manage and analyze data effectively. You will be the essential
bridge between the central Infrastructure and SoC DV team and help
deploy tool and methodology updates based on their recommendations.
You will educate the SoC team on new tools and methodologies
available and develop automatic deployment and auditing tools to
ensure common practices and guidelines are followed to achieve
overall operation efficiency and stability.
- DV development tracking: You will set up an integrated
end-to-end system that provides engineers with specific indicators
for SoC development. This system will enable engineers to monitor
and analyze key performance metrics, ensuring that our SoC projects
meet their targets. Your work will provide the necessary
infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making and
