This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity.
Location: Brisbane, CA 94005
Schedule: Typically starts between 3/4 AM. (Flexible work
schedule)
Compensation: Up to $146,000+ (Negotiable for the ideal
candidate)
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.

You're a highly experienced maintenance professional with a proven
track record in fleet management. You thrive in a fast-paced
environment and have a strong mechanical background. Your
leadership skills are top-notch, and you're comfortable managing a
union workforce. Waste industry experience is a significant
advantage. You're ready to make a real impact and contribute to a

About the Role:
As an Equipment & Fleet Maintenance Manager, you'll be the driving
force behind our maintenance operations, ensuring our fleet of 300+
trucks and equipment is in top condition. You'll oversee a team of
mechanics and container shop personnel, manage budgets, and
collaborate with various departments. This role requires a strong
leader who can hit the ground running, as training will be minimal.
Waste industry, transportation, or related experience is a
MUST.
What You'll Do:
Oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to
established policies and the collective bargaining agreement.
Manage procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and machinery.
Contract for outside services when needed.
Advise on vehicle and equipment replacement needs.
Manage the maintenance budget.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of vehicles, equipment, and
facilities.
Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
Investigate and evaluate equipment damage and accidents.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience with preventative maintenance programs for
fleets and equipment, including 4+ years in a supervisory role.
Experience in a refuse/recycling maintenance facility or similar
environment is preferred.Solid understanding of local, state, and
federal regulations related to maintenance operations and
safety.
Knowledge of DOT Out-of-Service Criteria, CHP B.I.T. Inspections,
and DOT compliance audits.
Valid Driver's License required; Class "B" license (no air brake or
automatic transmission restrictions) required within 6 months of
hire.Union management experience is a plus.
