Position description
Associate Specialist- Roy Lab
Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences
The Biodesign (ROY) lab at the University of California, San
Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced researcher to work with
our multidisciplinary team of academic and industry researchers who
are applying MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) and tissue
engineering strategies to medical device development. They will
contribute to the development of an implantable device suitable for
preclinical testing in collaboration with nephrologists, biomedical
engineers, and transplant surgeons. They will conduct specialized
research in biomaterials and tissue engineering, including
application of thin-film coatings and evaluation of
materials-tissue interactions.
