That's what makes us Roche.The Computational Science & Informatics division at Roche is integral to advancing the company's research capabilities and driving innovation in drug development through sophisticated data science and computational techniques. In this role you will work with a highly collaborative team of imaging scientists, product managers and software developers and build imaging and data analysis algorithms and solutions in the field of Digital Pathology. You will be a technical expert for Software Development in Test and manage a team focused on software verification of image processing algorithms, pattern recognition and integration with platform software. You will provide oversight on software best practices, test automation, verification and release.The Opportunity: Lead the design & development of automated testing of Roche Digital Pathology algorithmsCollaborate with cross functional leads to align on work scope & release timelinesWork closely with imaging scientists, subject matter experts to understand the algorithms and perform necessary data analysis for confirming the technical performance specifications and scientific accuracy. Also, troubleshoot failures and report any issues identified.Develop reusable and scalable data analysis tools libraries used for component as well as end-to-end verification.Become the image analysis subject matter expert and mentor junior engineers within the software test engineering organization.Participate in requirements, architecture, and design specification reviewsAssist in executing dry run and formal verification testingFollow defined software development lifecycle procedures and best practicesDesign and implement cloud based solution for automated testing and deployment pipelinesWho you are: You have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Sciences, Biomedical engineering or related field or equivalent work experienceYou have 2+ years of experience as a technical lead for product developmentYou have 3+ years of Experience in ML algorithm test engineeringYou have 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with AWS, Azure or GCPYou have 4+ years of professional experience with Python or equivalent scripting languageYou have 6+ years of hands on experience in software development in test, test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, cloud and container management technologiesExperienced in Agile software development process and software engineering best practicesPreferredExperienced in recruiting, building & coaching high-performing engineering teamsExcellent verbal & written communication skillsYou have experience analyzing histopathology imagesYou have experience in Performance testingYou have experience in medical device software or regulated software verificationRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting.The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Santa Clara, CA is $141,400 - $262,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
