Job Description:
A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist II
(Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records to assign ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure
codes and determine appropriate MS-DRG or APR-DRG
Abstract required data and monitor Discharged Not Billed accounts
for timely processing
Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists and medical
staff to ensure completeness of documentation
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Five (5) years of progressively responsible and related work
experience
Successful completion of the Coder Proficiency Exam (pre-hire)
Licensure as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding conventions and related
compliance issues
