We strive to achieve Planet Fitness' mission to enhance people's lives by providing a high-quality fitness experience in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment.We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our construction team. The Project Manager reports to the Director of Construction and will manage construction projects for new locations and major renovation projects in CA as well as supporting other regions.We encourage candidates with senior level Project Management experience to apply for consideration.Executing the successful opening and remodels of our Planet Fitness locations within the National Portfolio to maintain branding standards. Establishing utilities accounts and ensuring timely connections as needed.Preparing, reviewing, and confirming comprehensive requests and bids for general contractors and vendors.Coordination with consultants and providing support for permit plans, status tracking, processing, and completion to ensure compliance with jurisdictional agencies.Assessing lead times of materials for management of timely issuance of orders, scheduling and deliveries to ensure equipment delivery dates and grand openings and completion dates are metCoordinate the installation of the exterior signage in compliance with Planet Fitness, landlord and municipal requirements.Obtaining licenses and required permits for business operations, pre-sales, tanning, food sales, etc. as required in each jurisdiction.Continuously communicating, tracking, and maintaining project documents and budgets for both the field contractors, architects, engineers and internal management.Performing regular field visits to ensure quality, schedules and objectives are being met.Managing change orders, budget and ensuring accurate invoices.Building relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely performance.Maintaining concise and accurate communication, documentation and coordination between contractors and vendors.Performing punch list reviews, ensuring quality workmanship through final sign offs and release of final payments.Misc. other construction related duties as delegated from time to time.Requirements: This role is subject to the successful completion of a background check, post offer acceptance. All background screens will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.A candidate must be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task with time sensitive material in a fast-paced environment.Clear verbal and written communication with management, city/government employees, general contractors, outside vendors, and ownership is a must. Proficiency and prior experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and the ability to proficiently read blueprints, perform estimating take offs, and have a general familiarity with building codes and life safety is required.Prior experience with Bluebeam, Procur and Monday board preferred.Bachelor's Degree and at least five years' experience as commercial construction/project manager is preferred. must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to lift 40 lbs.Ability to climb a ladder, walk on roofs.Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.Travel within and outside of California as required up to or exceeding 50% of time.BenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision insuranceVacation/Holiday/Sick Time PayEmployee perks and discount programFree Black Card Membership401(K) Plan Starting salary $85,000/yearCompensation details: 85000-87000 Yearly SalaryPI399a2dffb0f9-25660-36575208
